Even the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, which dropped below US$900 a few weeks ago, is now selling for $799 US, a $100 drop in price from our last pricing article. That’s 33% below the card’s MSRP which was pegged at $1,199 US at launch. At Newegg, you can even find an RTX 3090 for sale for just $928.99US. At BestBuy, you can even find an RTX 3080 Ti listed for as little as $739.99US.
NVIDIA isn’t the only one affected by the price cuts, as AMD’s Radeon RX 6950 XT and RX 6900 XT are well below their MSRPs. The RX 6950 XT has also dropped below $1,000 to $949 from its launch MSRP of $1,099, while the Radeon RX 6900 XT retains its $699 price from its launch MSRP of $999.

On Baidu Forums, we can see daily price updates with several high-end cards now selling at 35-45% below their MSRP. The RTX 3090 and 3080 Ti have seen similar price drops with the rest of the lineup currently selling for 10-15% below MSRP. In the AMD camp, aside from the RX 6900 XT, which is down 40% in price compared to MSRP, the rest of the lineup sits 20-30% below MSRP, which is a drop much higher price tag in the mainstream segment than NVIDIA. .
