The mother of the McDonald’s worker who was shot in the neck in a dispute over cold fries told The Post on Wednesday that he hasn’t been able to rest because his young son struggles to stay alive.
“I’m really not ready for this,” the mother, who did not share her name, said at Brooklyn’s Brookdale Hospital, where her son Matthew Jeremiah Webb has been in critical condition since the Monday night shooting.
“I am going back and forth with so many flashes in mind. My mind is not stable.”
Webb’s mother said she believes she needs “a stronger family around me” as she prays for her son, 23, and waits for updates.
At the hospital Wednesday morning, the distraught mother asked a pastor to pray with her son in the hospital room.
“I hardly rest. I’m so tired I need to call someone,” said the mom.
She declined to update The Post on her son’s condition, but police said he remained in critical condition as of Wednesday morning.
Webb was working at McDonalds at 1531 Fulton St. in Bed-Stuy on Monday when he was allegedly shot by 20-year-old Michael Morgan around 7 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the chain.

Morgan, 20, was charged Tuesday night with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said. Camellia Dunlap, 18, Morgan’s girlfriend, was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon after she was admitted to police and turned the gun over to her boyfriend, police sources said.
The suspected shooter arrived at McDonald’s after his mother, Lisa Fulmore, got into a fight with Webb after being served cold fries.
fulmore started harassing the workers for the fries and when she was laughed at for asking to speak to a manager, her son stormed into the restaurant in defense of his mother, she told The Post in an exclusive interview. At some point, Webb left the restaurant and was allegedly shot by Morgan.

“My son just says he has to do what he has to do and the [victim] came after him and whatever happened, happened,” Fulmore said.
Law enforcement sources said the victim had no prior arrests and no indication he was carrying a gun when he was shot.
Morgan has been arrested multiple times before, including for grand theft in 2019 and assault and robbery of service in 2018, law enforcement sources said.
