NVIDIA RTX 4080 with OC
We have some new synthetic tests with overclocked RTX 4080 graphics cards.
The RTX 4080 will gain up to 9% performance, with increased overclocking and power capping. That’s a good score considering the test was run on a semi-custom RTX 4080 model (with NVIDIA reference board) and a relatively low power cap setting (only 10W).
We’ve had some results with the stock RTX 4080, with the power limit set to maximum, and with an additional clock tweak. The card earns up to 9% on 3DMark TimeSpy Extreme and up to 7% on 3DMark Port Royal.

RTX 4080 gaming leaks from China
On chiphell, we can find gaming results from known hardware leak “MEGAsizeGPU/BFK9K” with RTX 4080 with working drivers. The card was tested in a few games, including the updated Forza Horizon 5, COD MW2, Cyberpunk 2077, Borderlands 3, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

The leaker used the Ryzen 7 7600X CPU for this test, so if you have benchmarks with a similar configuration then it may be worth comparing. Otherwise, those results won’t tell us much unless combined with similar specs. However, just for a quick look, another Chiphell member provided the following RTX 4090/i9-12900KF results:
RTX 4090 vs. RTX 4080
- force horizon 5: 147 FPS vs. 127 FPS (+15.7%)
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: 179FPS vs. 129FPS (+38.8%)
- red dead redemption 2: 129 FPS vs. 99 FPS (+30.3)
- Cyberpunk 2077: 111 FPS vs. 83 FPS (33.7%)
- COD MW2: 137 FPS vs. 127 FPS (+7.9%)
NVIDIA RTX 4080 will be released exactly next week, on November 16. This model is equipped with AD103 GPU with 9728 CUDA cores and 16 GB of GDDR6X memory. There is no longer a 12GB model planned, so this is the only SKU being featured.
