After spending $400-$500 on a PlayStation 5 console, your coffers may be depleted so fast after realizing that PS5 video game can cost upwards of $69.99 each. Fortunately, like all video games, PS5 games eventually drop in price, regardless of how good the games are. The games listed here are very well and right now they also happen to be the cheapest PS5 games out there.
The games listed below are PlayStation exclusive video games. Aside from Horizon Forbidden West, they’re also PS5-exclusive titles, meaning they’re built from the ground up to take advantage of the graphical power of the PS5, without making any compromises for backwards compatibility with legacy consoles.
Forbidden Horizon West
IGN Editor’s Choice 9/10
A triumphant mix of gripping combat, top-notch character and creature design, and a captivating open world, Horizon Forbidden West is an absolute blast and a fantastic showcase for the power of the PS5. Although the return of a couple of familiar flourishes from the series and a conspicuous lack of freeform climbing never threatens to derail the enjoyment, it does leave it frustratingly short of anything revolutionary. However, the major evolutionary steps have been placed firmly in the right direction, and there is no mistaking the many, many hours of fun to be had with Aloy, who goes even further to be one of the biggest characters of this generation of games. . Guerrilla have outdone themselves yet again with Forbidden West, and on this trajectory, neither the horizon nor the sky are the limit to what could come next.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
IGN Editor’s Choice 9/10
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is a blast. Not only does it give the latest generation of consoles a game that looks as beautiful as the improved technology promised, but it’s also a fantastic experience to play. Insomniac has been on the Ratchet and Clank block many times before, but Rivet and other new characters add a lot of charm, wit, and heart to a franchise I’ve loved most of my life. That’s paired with the best action platformer in the series and some amazing art and sound design across the board. Rift Apart may not be the biggest adventure out there, but its big heart, savage weapons, and incredible detail easily make it one of the most memorable of the year so far.
demon souls
IGN Editor’s Choice 9/10
The Bluepoint team had the unenviable task of remaking an 11-year-old game with a cult following and making it look—and play—the part of being the first game built from the ground up for this current generation of consoles. And that is exactly what they did. Demon’s Souls is breathtakingly beautiful and plays significantly better than on the PS3, not only thanks to the graphical power of the PlayStation 5, but also clever quality-of-life changes and light touches that modernize some frustrating aspects of the original. never sacrificing the relentless challenge, puzzle-filled boss battles, and flair that made it such an iconic game in the first place.
Return
IGN 8/10
Returnal’s moment-to-moment gameplay is sublime, with a huge selection of weapons that have a wide variety of interesting potential characteristics, meaningful strategic decisions that can keep a career afloat or doom it to sink, and challenging yet rewarding gameplay. shootout that is constantly exhilarating. Even with all this focus on action, it never drops the ball on the story. Its big problem is that it lasts too long and there’s no way to save progress other than putting the PS5 to rest. That exhausts the desire to immediately go back and try again after a failure, though not enough to stop it. Still, Returnal is an incredible roguelike and one of Housemarque’s best games to date.
